SixFour is an iPhone chess application focused on local play against the AI. This version of the app no longer offers online multiplayer. We are committed to protecting your privacy and clearly explaining what stays on your device and what may use the network.

What stays on your device
Most of SixFour works entirely on your device. The app stores locally only:
- Your current game state
- Your local history of finished games
- Your move-by-move replay data
- Your chosen difficulty and preferences
- Your settings for sound and in-game coaching messages
This local data is not uploaded to our servers.
What may use the network
The app may use the network only in limited situations:
- Master difficulty: chess positions in FEN format may be sent to analysis services to compute a stronger AI move.
- Privacy preferences: if optional analytics or crash reporting are enabled in a future release, they will be described here before any activation.
Cloud analysis for Master difficulty
When you choose Master difficulty, SixFour may send a chess position in FEN format to external analysis providers in order to compute the AI move.
- No account is required
- No email address is sent
- No name, contacts, photos, or location data are sent
- The transmitted content is limited to chess position data needed for analysis

No advertising services
SixFour does not use:
- Advertising SDKs
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Social media SDKs
- Online multiplayer or matchmaking services
Permissions
SixFour does not request access to sensitive device features.
- Network access: only for Master difficulty analysis and website links
- No location access
- No camera access
- No microphone access
- No photo library access
- No contacts access
Data security
Your local data benefits from iOS application sandboxing and device-level protections. Network exchanges used for Master difficulty rely on HTTPS connections provided by the third-party services involved.

Under GDPR, you may contact us for any question related to this policy or to any processing under our responsibility.
Access and deletion
- Local data: you can remove it by uninstalling the app.

We aim to respond within 30 days.
Privacy preferences
SixFour includes privacy controls in the app. These preferences are stored locally on your device and applied immediately.
The app is currently centered on local play. There is no online account, no matchmaking, and no player profile hosted by us.

- Master difficulty network analysis: necessary to provide the feature you explicitly choose to use.
